Delhi, 5th November 2025: In today’s digital world, platforms like Instagram and Snapchat have become an inseparable part of youth culture. While these apps allow young people to connect, express themselves, and stay updated with global trends, they also create unrealistic standards of beauty, lifestyle, and fashion. The constant exposure to glamorous posts often pressures teenagers to follow expensive and fast-changing fashion trends to fit in.
This obsession can lead to low self-esteem, body image issues, and unnecessary competition among peers. Moreover, many influencers promote trends for commercial gain, misleading followers into thinking that fashion defines one’s worth.
However, if used wisely, social media can also be a space for creativity and inspiration. The key lies in maintaining self-awareness and balance, understanding that individuality matters more than imitation.
