उत्तर

Rakesh is partly justified because he has medical knowledge and wants to protect his elderly father from further illness. Varma has several complaints, and rich foods or sweets may worsen his condition. Rakesh’s efforts to regulate his father’s diet, provide medicines and encourage him to sit outside show that he is trying to care for him, not abandon him.

However, Rakesh’s good intentions do not make every action right. He treats his father largely as a patient who must obey instructions, rather than as an old man with feelings, habits and a need for dignity. He refuses the food Varma craves without finding a kind compromise, and the strict routine makes the father feel controlled and ignored. His medical authority therefore damages the closeness between them and makes Varma resent the care he receives.

In my view, Rakesh is justified in taking sensible precautions, but not in imposing them without empathy. He should explain the risks gently, listen to his father and offer safe choices. A son’s care should combine sound medical judgment with affection, respect and companionship.
