Nuclear power plants work on nuclear fission to generate heat and produce electricity. Can we create the nuclear fusion process on Earth? Can we use nuclear fusion to generate electricity?

1. Yes, we can create nuclear fusion on Earth using specialised experimental devices like Tokamaks (magnetic rings) and high-powered lasers.

2. Not commercially yet. While we can successfully trigger fusion, it currently requires more energy to sustain and control the reaction than the energy we get back out of it.
