Working Note:

1. Calculation of Rohan's Capital

Adjusted Capital of Mohan = ₹ 2,99,000

Adjusted Capital of Sohan = ₹ 1,66,000

Combined Capital of Old Partners (for `1 - 1/3 = 2/3` share) = 2,99,000 + 1,66,000 = 4,65,000

Total Capital of the Firm = `4,65,000 xx 3/2 = 6,97,500`

Rohan's Capital Share (`1/3`): `6,97,000 xx 1/3 = 2,32,500`

2. Calculation of Cash Balance

New Cash Balance = Opening Cash (65,000) + Goodwill Premium (1,00,000) + Rohan’s Capital (2,32,500) = 3,97,500
