Size and Number The Andaman & Nicobar Islands consist of about 572 islands, making it a larger group. The Lakshadweep Islands are a smaller group, consisting of only 36 islands.
Topography The Andaman & Nicobar Islands are hilly and forested in nature. The Lakshadweep Islands are flat and sandy, with little elevation.
