उत्तर
- Serving: The serving team has a major advantage over the receiving team when they execute a serve well. Players on the receiving team may move out of position or attempt strange returns in response to a well-placed serve. At the conclusion of court, the server is required to stand behind the service line.
- Passing: When used to defend an offensive shot, passing is also referred to as “digging” and “bumping” during an offensive sequence. When passing, the fingers should be interlocked while the arms are held straight and away from the body.
- Setting: Usually, the second shot in a sequence of three shots is setting, also known as overhead passing. A set that is executed correctly is positioned near and above the net.
- Hitting: Attacking the ball requires good timing and accuracy. The purpose of the third hit, or spike, is to make it hard for the other team to return. For a front-row attack, the approach begins a few feet behind the 10-foot line. The player should adopt an athletic stance with bent knees and hips, feet shoulder-width apart, and body weight balanced on the balls of the feet.
- Blocking: This is another defensive move used when the opponents are attacking. Players extend their arms straight up as the opposing hitter strikes the ball, jumping as high and close to the net as they can to try to send the ball back onto the other team’s side.
