उत्तर
Remove shoes and stand upright on a level surface with the heels together and the head level. Measure from the floor to the top of the head using a height scale or tape, and record the result. Repeat measurements at intervals to observe growth.
Reasons:
- Genetics (Inheritance): Height is primarily determined by the genes passed down from parents. If a student's parents are tall, they are more likely to be tall, and vice versa.
- Different Growth Rates: Every individual has a unique biological clock. Some teens experience an early growth spurt, while others are "late bloomers" who gain their maximum height a bit later toward age 19.
- Nutritional Intake: A balanced diet rich in essential vitamins, minerals (like calcium), and proteins is crucial for bone elongation. Deficiencies can stunt or slow down growth.
- Hormonal Secretions: The pituitary gland secretes growth hormones. Variations in the timing and quantity of these hormone releases directly cause differences in how fast and how much a person grows.
- Physical Activity & Exercise: Regular physical exercises, sports, and stretching activities stimulate growth plates in the bones and promote better developmental health compared to a sedentary lifestyle.
