Daily Activities and the Energy Behind Them:

• Cooking Food: When we prepare meals, we use thermal energy (heat) from LPG gas stoves. If we use microwaves, induction cooktops, or toasters, electrical energy is converted into thermal energy.
• Lighting the House: Turning on LED bulbs, tube lights, or lamps converts electrical energy into light energy, allowing us to see after dark.
• Running Household Appliances: Washing machines, refrigerators, and mixer-grinders take electrical energy and use motors to convert it into mechanical energy (kinetic energy) to spin, pump, or chop.
• Using Gadgets (Smartphones & Laptops): These devices run on chemical energy stored inside their rechargeable batteries. This chemical energy is converted into electrical energy, which then powers the screen (light energy) and the speakers (sound energy).
• Commuting and Travelling: Riding a bicycle relies entirely on the muscular energy stored in our bodies. Driving a petrol or diesel scooter/car converts the chemical energy of the fuel into thermal energy, which is then converted into mechanical energy to move the wheels. Electric vehicles (EVs) convert battery power directly into mechanical energy.
• Living and Moving (Our Body): Even while sleeping, walking, or thinking, our bodies are working. We convert the chemical energy from the food we eat into muscular energy and thermal energy to maintain our body temperature.
