1. How does alcohol consumption affect the brain? State the part of the brain affected resulting in uncoordinated movements and speech.
2. In which part of the brain does the impulse for walking or speaking arise? 
3. How does part (a) differ with part (b) structurally?

1. Alcohol affects the central nervous system and slows down brain activity. It affects the cerebellum, causing loss of balance, poor muscular coordination, uncoordinated movements, and slurred speech.
2. The cerebrum, especially its motor areas, generates impulses for voluntary actions such as walking and speaking.
3. Structurally, the cerebellum is smaller and lies below the posterior part of the cerebrum. It has many narrow folds on its surface. The cerebrum is the largest part of the brain and has a highly folded outer surface with numerous ridges and grooves.
