`\implies (BP)/(PA) = (BQ)/(QC)`

`\implies 4/2.4 = 5/(QC)`

`\implies` QC = `(5 xx 2.4)/4` = 5 × 0.6

`\implies` QC = 3 cm

∴ BC = BQ + QC

= 5 + 3
