Respected judges, teachers, and my dear friends,
Good morning. Today, I, XYZ, would like to share a few thoughts on the "importance of science and technology" in honour of "Science Day."
Science and technology provide many advantages. We use the advantages of science in one way or another from the moment the alarm goes off in the morning until we close our eyes at night. Thanks to modern advancements like the automobile, train, etc., we can go around conveniently. Thanks to research, we can eat well and lead healthy lives. Is it possible for us to envision a world without phones, refrigerators, or electricity? We'd go back to being cavemen!
Our lives are certainly being made easier by science and technology. But there is a drawback as well. Who can forget that science produced the atomic bomb, which wreaked such havoc during World War II? Today's terrorists use science to murder thousands of people. There are drawbacks to both the internet and mobile phones. However, I will conclude that it is up to us humans to accept the benefits and ignore the negative ones. Humanity will only advance at that point since science and technology are here to stay.
Thank you.
