If I were in the place of Dr. Beaumont, I would have done experiments with boiled rice, chapatti, and salad. It would have taken out digestive juices from Martin’s stomach and would have kept equal amounts of boiled rice, chapatti, and salad in different glasses. I would have checked for the time it took to digest a particular food.
