उत्तर
At high altitudes, people often experience ‘altitude sickness’ with symptoms like nausea, fatigue, and heart palpitations, due to lower atmospheric pressure causing less oxygen availability in the body. However, gradually the body acclimatizes and stops showing these symptoms. This acclimatization happens as the body compensates for low oxygen by increasing red blood cell production, reducing the binding affinity of hemoglobin, and increasing the breathing rate. Thus, the body adapts to the lower oxygen levels, making altitude sickness subside over time.
