Changes Expected by 2035:

1. The share of people depending only on agriculture may decrease.
2. Employment in manufacturing and service sectors is likely to increase.
3. More jobs may be created in information technology, artificial intelligence and digital services.
4. Healthcare, education and renewable energy may provide more employment opportunities.
5. Workers will need better education, technical skills and vocational training.

India’s occupational structure has gradually shifted from mainly agriculture-based to more diversified. With economic reforms, technology and education, more people are expected to move towards industry and modern service-sector jobs.
