Observation:

In the very poor family, total expenditure on children is low because of limited income. The difference between expenditure on the male and female child may also be comparatively noticeable.

In the middle-class family, expenditure on both children is higher, and the difference between the male and female child is small.

In the affluent family, a large amount is spent on both children for better education, healthcare and other facilities, and the expenditure is almost equal.

Conclusion:

The survey shows that expenditure on children generally increases with family income. It also shows that boys and girls should receive equal opportunities and equal expenditure on education, health and other necessities, without gender discrimination.
