उत्तर

If a partner’s current account shows a debit balance after all adjustments for interest on capital, salary, share of profit, drawings, interest on drawings, etc., it means the partner has withdrawn more than what was due to them. The partner may be required to either repay the debit balance or reduce their future drawings to clear the balance. When preparing the balance sheet, the debit balance in a partner’s current account can either be shown on the liabilities side as a deduction from their fixed capital account to reflect the net capital retained by the partner or on the assets side under current assets. The first option is preferred, as it provides a more accurate representation of the firm’s financial position.
