उत्तर
Shirishkumar Mehta was an Indian revolutionary who showed great bravery during the Quit India Movement in 1942. He took part in a protest march in Nandurbar, carrying the Indian National Flag with pride. When the police tried to stop the procession with a lathi charge and later opened fire, Shirishkumar stood firm.
In a powerful and selfless act, when a policeman pointed a gun at a group of girls, he stepped forward and said, “If you want to fire, then shoot me.” He was shot and killed on the spot.
His courage and sacrifice inspire us to stand up for truth and justice, even in the face of danger. Shirishkumar taught us that real leadership means protecting others and being brave, not for personal gain, but for the greater good of the nation. His actions remind us that every citizen, not just leaders, plays a role in achieving freedom.
