Dear Grandpa and Grandma,
I hope you are both keeping well. I am writing to tell you why I wish to join the Armed Forces when I grow up.
The stories of courage and sacrifice shown by our soldiers have deeply inspired me. In class, we recently discussed the martyrs who gave their lives to protect our country. Their bravery made me realise that serving the nation is one of the noblest ways to use my abilities. I am also impressed by the disciplined lifestyle of the Armed Forces their teamwork, fitness, responsibility and determination to help others. The respect people have for officers and soldiers is admirable, but I know it comes from hard work and selfless service.
I understand that a career in the Armed Forces can be challenging and requires courage, patience and dedication. I am ready to work hard, stay disciplined and prepare myself for this goal. I would be grateful for your advice and encouragement as I take my first steps towards it.
