The exploitation of natural resources and the release of greenhouse gases have had long-term effects on ecosystems, biodiversity, and global health.
2. Nuclear weapons: The use of nuclear weapons, as seen in historical events such as the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II, showed their devastating impact on human populations and the environment. So, while we may think of these weapons as safeguarding us, they also pose a significant risk of causing great harm to our world.
