उत्तर
Three equations to prove acidic nature of nitric acid are-
(a) Reaction with basic oxide :-
\[\ce{CaO + 2HNO3 -> Ca(NO3)2 + H2O}\]
(b) Reaction with carbonates and hydrogen carbonates :-
\[\ce{Na2CO3 + 2HNO3 -> 2NaNO3 + H2O(I) + CO2}\]
\[\ce{NaHCO3 + HNO3 -> NaNO3 + H2O + CO2}\]
(c) Reaction with metallic sulphites :-
\[\ce{Na2SO3 + 2HNO3 -> 2NaNO3 + SO2 + H2O}\]
