उत्तर
The formation of m-RNA from hn-RNA involves a series of processing steps to convert the primary transcript into a functional mRNA molecule. The key steps involved in the processing of hnRNA to mRNA are as follows:
- Splicing: The primary transcript is non-functional and contains both exons and introns. During processing, only introns are removed by the process called splicing.
- Capping: Exons are joined in a definite sequence (order) by the DNA ligase enzyme. In capping, methylated guanosine triphosphate is added to the 5' end of hnRNA.
- Tailing: In tailing, polyadenylation takes place at the 3' end. It is the fully processed hnRNA, now called m-RNA.
