The lines of longitude are of the same length because they are all half-circles that run from the North Pole to the South Pole. Unlike lines of latitude, which get shorter as you move toward the poles, all meridians (lines of longitude) have the same length because they connect the poles and are evenly spaced apart at the equator. Since they span the Earth's full circumference from pole to pole, their lengths remain consistent.
