उत्तर

Muhammad Ghori (Mu izz al‑Din Muḥammad) was a 12th-century ruler from the Ghor region, born around AD 1149. He and his brother Ghiyās al‑Dīn extended Ghorid power into Central and South Asia, taking Ghazni in 1173 and campaigning in Multan, Peshawar and Sialkot.

In India he fought Prithviraj Chauhan: defeated at the First Battle of Tarain (1191) but won the decisive Second Battle of Tarain (1192), after which northern India came under Ghorid control. Because he left no sons, he placed his Turkish slaves in charge of conquered lands most notably Qutbuddin Aibak in India and Muhammad bin Bakhtiar Khilji in Bengal who became the founders of the Slave (Mamluk) dynasty after Ghori’s death on his way back to Afghanistan in AD 1206.
