उत्तर
Distance of the house from office = `5 3/4` km
Distance he walked = `2 1/2` km
∴ Remaining distance = `5 3/4 - 2 1/2` km
= `5 + 3/4 - (2 + 1/2)`
= `(5 - 2) + (3/4 - 1/2)` km
= `3 + (3/4 - 2/4)` km
= `3 + ((3 - 2)/4)` km
= `3 + 1/4`
= `3 1/4` km
Distance still he has to be walked = `3 1/4` km
