उत्तर

The given equation is `3x^2 - 2sqrt(6)x + 2 = 0`

This is of the form ax2 + bx + c = 0, where a = 3, b = `-2sqrt(6)` and c = 2

∴ Discriminant, D = b2 – 4ac

= `(-2sqrt(6))^2 - 4 xx 3 xx 2`

= 24 – 24

= 0

Hence, the given equation has real and equal roots.
