Total number of observations = 10

Mean = `"Sum of observations"/"Total number of observations"`

= `64/10`

= 6.4

Arranging the numbers in ascending order,

1, 2, 4, 5, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12

n = 10

`(n/2) = 10/2` = 5th

`(n/2 +1) = 10/2 + 1` = 6th

Median = `(5 + 7)/2`

= `12/2`

= 6
