When two lines are perpendicular to each other the product of their slope is -1.

i.e m₁ x m₂ = -1

3x - 5y = 9 

y = `3/5"x" - 9/5`

m₁ = `3/5`

Slope of required line (m₂)  = `(-1)/"m"_1 = (-5)/3`
