Big statues of wax are made by melting wax and pouring it into a mould. First, a model of the statue is prepared. Then the wax is heated until it becomes liquid and is carefully poured into the mould. After the wax cools and becomes solid, the mould is removed. Finally, the statue is shaped, coloured and polished to give it a realistic appearance.
