Let A(x₁, y₁) = A(0, 2), B(x₂, y₂) = B(12, 14)

Let the co-ordinates of the midpoint be P(x, y).

∴ By midpoint formula,

`x = (x_1 + x_2)/2` 

= `(0 + 12)/2`

= 6

`y = (y_1 + y_2)/2`

= `(2 + 14)/2`

= `16/2`

= 8

∴ The co-ordinates of the midpoint of the segment joining (0, 2) and (12, 14) are (6, 8).
