Chemical equation: “Is the symbolic representation of a chemical reaction using symbols and the formulae of the substances involved in the reaction.”

Sulphur bums in oxygen is a chemical reaction and sulphur dioxide is formed. This can be represented as  \[\ce{sulphur + oxygen->[heating] sulphur dioxide}\] is word equation.
