उत्तर

The procedure of Scoring in Tennis are:

  1. Each match begins with a coin toss to determine who will serve first and from which side.
  2. After each point, the server will switch sides on the baseline.
  3. Servers must hit their serves from behind the baseline.
  4. If the first serve is called out, the server may use a second serve. If the second serve fails, it is considered a ‘double fault’ and the point is lost.
  5. If the server strikes the net and the ball moves over into the service area, a ‘let’ is called, allowing the server to serve again without penalty.
  6. To receive a serve, players can stand wherever they like, but must first allow the ball to bounce once.
  7. If a player touches the net, distracts the opponent, or impedes them, the umpire will give the point to the opposing team.
  8. Throughout the game, the ball can cross the lines and be awarded. Any departure from the lines results in a missed shot.
  9. In competitive games, new tennis balls are introduced after the first seven games and every nine games thereafter.
