उत्तर

The geographical conditions for the formation of dew are as follows:

  1. Presence of Moist Air: There should be a high amount of water vapor present in the air for dew to form.
  2. Cooling of Surface: Dew commonly forms during winter or nights when the surface of objects like vegetation, rocks, or cars cools down below the dew point temperature. This cooling causes the surrounding air in contact with these cold surfaces to also cool.
  3. Air Temperature Falling Below Dew Point: When the temperature of the air near the surface falls below the dew point, the moisture in the air condenses into tiny droplets of water on the surface, forming dew.
  4. Condensation Nuclei: Minute solid particles like dust, salt, or smoke particles (condensation nuclei) are needed for water vapor to condense efficiently.
  5. Clear Sky and Calm Winds: Dew forms more easily on clear nights with calm or light winds, enabling the surface to cool rapidly by radiating heat into space.

Dew is not confined only to cold regions; it can also form in humid and even desert regions when nights are sufficiently cool. The dew droplets can be seen covering surfaces such as grass blades, flower petals, or car windshields in the early morning.
