उत्तर
Incomplete dominance is a phenomenon in which the F1 phenotype does not resemble either of the two parents, and an intermediate character is expressed. For example, a monohybrid cross between true-breeding red-flowered (RR) and white-flowered (rr) plants of the Antirrhinum species results in all pink-flowered (Rr) plants in the F1 generation. This happens because the dominant allele (R) is not completely dominant over the recessive allele (r). In the heterozygous (Rr) state, a single (R) allele cannot produce enough pigment to make the flower red, resulting in a diluted or intermediate pink phenotype.
