उत्तर

Causes of the Great Depression are as follows:

  1. Agricultural overproduction was a major cause of the Great Depression, which resulted in price falls. With falling prices and declining agricultural income, farmers attempted to increase productivity and bring more produce to market in order to maintain their overall income. This increased the market oversupply, driving prices further down. Farm crops withered due to a shortage of buyers.
  2. Another cause of the Depression was a shortage of loans. In the mid-1920s, the United States provided loans to various countries to help them finance their investments. However, if there were any issues, the United States would withdraw loans. As a result, countries that depended heavily on US loans faced an acute crisis that disrupted world trade.
  3. The conditions caused by the war also contributed to the Great Depression, which occurred amid growth to meet the growing demand for war-related commodities. However, following the war, the dramatic drop in demand for military and war products resulted in an economic depression.
