As a group, management includes all the people responsible for managing the organisation. It refers to a collective group that includes the Board of Directors, Chief Executives, Departmental Heads, Branch Managers, Superintendents, and Supervisors. All managers, from the chief executive to the first-line supervisor, together form the management team. However, in practice, the term “management” is often used to refer specifically to the top management of an organisation. For example, when we say that the management of Tata Iron and Steel Company is good, we are usually referring to the top-level executives managing the company.
