Efficiency of labour refers to the productive capacity of a worker to do more work, better work, or both during a specified period of time. It is a measure of a worker's qualitative efficiency and productivity. We know that not all workers are equally efficient. It is usually observed that labourers working in the same occupation with similar types of tools and equipment, the same type of raw materials, and the same working conditions for the same period of time produce not only different quantities of output but also different qualities of goods.
