I think life became easier in some ways but more challenging in others after humans started farming.

1. Easier: People could grow their own food and store extra crops for the future. This provided a more regular supply of food and allowed people to settle in one place.
2. More challenging: Farming required hard work and regular care of crops and animals. People also had to face problems such as droughts, floods, pests and crop failures.

Thus, farming brought stability and settled life, but it also created new challenges for humans.
