• Question Hour and Motions: Members of the Lok Sabha can keep ministers accountable by asking questions and raising problems through call attention, adjournment, censure, and discussion. These instruments require ministers to explain and justify their policies and actions, ensuring ongoing examination.
• Financial Control: The Lok Sabha is in charge of the national finances. All monetary bills must be introduced and approved by it. The executive cannot levy or spend money without the Lok Sabha’s permission, which ensures financial transparency and control.
