Centrifugal force is a pseudo force (fictitious force) that is felt only in a rotating (non-inertial) frame of reference. It acts radially outwards away from the center of rotation and has a magnitude equal to centripetal force (mv2/r), but it is not a real force since it lacks a reaction force.
