1. Second ballot system: This system involves two rounds of voting. If no candidate gets a required majority (usually more than 50%) in the first round, a second round (runoff) is held between the top two candidates. The purpose of this system is to ensure the winner has support from the majority of voters. 
2. Cumulative vote system: In this method, voters have multiple votes, which they can either give all to one candidate or distribute among several. The purpose of this system is to help minority groups win representation by focusing their votes on fewer candidates.
3. Limited vote system: Voters are given fewer votes than the number of seats available. For example, if there are 5 seats, a voter may get only 3 votes. The purpose of this system is to prevent one majority group from winning all seats, helping minorities gain representation.
4. Communal electorate system: In this system, voters of a particular religious or social group vote only for candidates of their own group. The purpose of this system is to ensure representation of specific communities.
5. Reservation of seats: Certain seats are reserved for specific groups, such as Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), or women. The purpose of this system is to ensure guaranteed representation for disadvantaged groups.
6. Nomination of representatives of minorities: Under this system, some members are nominated to the legislature by the President or Governor instead of being elected. The purpose of this system is to represent communities that may not win elections but deserve a voice.
