उत्तर
When nuclear energy is produced from radioactive elements, radioactive waste is produced. Radioactive materials in nuclear waste produce significant ionizing radiation, including gamma rays. Skin cancer is frequently the result of organisms being mutated by this radiation. These rays have the potential to be fatal at excessive dosages.
Radioactive waste disposal safely is a difficult task. Following pre-treatment, it is advised that nuclear waste be kept in appropriately protected containers before being buried in rocks. Among the negative consequences of nuclear waste are infertility, birth abnormalities, and an increased risk of cancer. Therefore, nuclear waste is a very powerful contaminant.
