1. A triacidic base contains three replaceable hydroxyl (OH) groups per molecule. A diacidic base contains two replaceable hydroxyl (OH) groups per molecule.
2. One mole of a triacidic base can furnish three moles of OH⁻ ions on complete ionisation. One mole of a diacidic base can furnish two moles of OH⁻ ions on complete ionisation.
3. Example: Al(OH)3 Example: Ca(OH)2
