Sr. No. Monoecious Plants Dioecious Plants
1. When both staminate and pistillate flowers are borne on the same plant, the condition is known as monoecious. When staminate and pistillate flowers are present on different plants, it is said to be dioecious.
2. One plant can produce both male and female flowers. One plant produces male flowers, while another plant produces female flowers.
3. Fruits develop on the same plant. Fruits develop only on female plants.
