उत्तर

  1. Irrigation is only possible in a restricted area. 1 to 2 hectares of land can often be irrigated by a well.
  2. If too much water is drawn from the well, it may dry up and become unusable for irrigation.
  3. When there is a drought, the groundwater level drops and the well does not have enough water when it is most required. A few of the wells dry up entirely and are no longer suitable for irrigation.
  4. Well irrigation is not possible in areas of the brackish groundwater.
