A direct free kick or penalty kick is awarded to the opposition team whenever a player commits any of the following offences in a manner that the referee considers carelessness, recklessness, or excessive force:

1. Kicks or attempts to kick their opponent.
2. Trips or tries to trip an opponent.
3. Jumps at an opponent.
4. Charges toward the opponent.
5. Strikes or attempts to hit the opponent.
6. Pushes the opponent.
7. Tackles an opponent.

If a player commits any of the following three violations, the other team will receive a straight free kick:

1. It holds an opponent.
2. Spits at an opponent.
3. The player deliberately handles the ball (save for the goalkeeper in his own penalty area).
