उत्तर

A process is said to be in the blocked state when it is waiting for an external event such as an I/O operation. The key difference between a blocked process and a ready process is that a blocked process cannot be scheduled even if the CPU is free, whereas a ready process can be scheduled when the CPU becomes available.
