For calculating the total pressure in a liquid at depth, we have to add the atmospheric pressure that acts on the free surface of the liquid.
Total pressure inside a liquid at depth 'h' = atmospheric pressure + pressure due to the liquid column.
So Total pressure inside a liquid at depth = Po + hpg. Here Po is atmospheric pressure acting on the free surface of liquid.
