प्रश्न

Create an electromagnetic train using a long coil made of copper wire, battery and neodymium magnets. First, wind the copper wire on a marker pen to create a coil. This coil acts as the track. Now, hold two magnets such that they push apart from each other. Now place the battery in between these magnets to attach the magnets to the ends of the battery. This battery magnet setup acts as the train. Now, arrange the coil on a flat surface without any sharp curves and place the train inside this coil track. Observe what happens to the train. The train will move inside the coil. How did that happen? Find out the principle behind this result.

उत्तर

The electromagnetic train moves because of the magnetic effect of electric current. When the battery supplies current to the copper coil, the coil produces a magnetic field. This magnetic field interacts with the magnetic field of the neodymium magnets attached to the battery, producing a force that pushes the battery and magnets forward through the coil.

Thus, the train moves inside the coil due to the motor effect, in which a current-carrying conductor experiences a force when placed in a magnetic field.
