  3. When ammonia is in excess,
    \[\ce{2NH3 + 3Cl2 -> N2 + 6HCl}\]
    \[\ce{6NH3 + 6HCl -> 6NH4Cl}\]
    \[\ce{8NH3 + 3Cl2 -> N2 + 6NH4Cl}\]
    When chlorine is in excess,
    \[\ce{NH3 + 3Cl2 -> 3HCl + NCl3}\]
