Can ‘responsibility’ be delegated?

Responsibility can be limited to carrying out a particular task, or it can be a continuous commitment. It is an absolute personal commitment that cannot be transferred. The commitment that a subordinate has to his superior is known as responsibility, and it cannot be diminished by additional delegation of authority to carry out the designated task. Unitary responsibility states that an employee should only answer to one supervisor at a time for a specific task or assignment.
